Well Cork getting ready for the big one.
Huge storm about an hour away has our little city on its path.

Can I just ask folks down south, is it thundery showers or actual thunderstorms?

I'm so disappointed right now,I love a good thunderstorm. Here in west Waterford, we had 20ish minutes of mild thunder and lightning, then a very quick and heavy shower....and now silence. :(

Some nice cells have fired up over Clare in the past hour, encouraging to see them actually develop over the country rather than just relying on imports from the south

Can anyone help, please? I'm trying to find a good lightning radar map because the blitzortung.org one keeps crapping out saying google maps hasn't loaded correctly.

Still seeing flashes out of the not so heavy looking rain to my south west.

Make up for the dissapointing day we had here!

Lightning radar picked up a few but really not doing it justice here.
