Again it's only the 3 Northern Ireland airports that have a slight chance of TSRA in their midday TAFs. None of the 9 airports in the Republic mention it.

That doesn't mean there will be no thunderstorms, it just means none in the vicinity of the airports. I still expect Dublin or Casement to report TS before the evening is out. Cloud tops are already -20 °C through the Midlands and should cool the 10 or so degrees more during the afternoon to start electrification.

Heard the thunder alright but couldn't see any lightning - appears to be passing now :(

Just seen a big bolt of lightening. Seen from the 5th floor of the building beside the RSA in Dundrum looking south east. Rather ominious looking clouds that appear to be rotating. No rain here yet.

Dublin airport reporting thunderstorm at 4pm.

Really warm outside now after a cool start to the day. Lots of impressive looking cloud structures heading North East but surprisingly not a drop of rain yet (West Laois). Further east seems to hold more promise for thunderstorms.

much calmer day here compared to yesterday, mostly dry, just one shower in the afternoon, compared to yesterdays numerous downpours.

A great day for cloud scapes. I was working in cork and detoured home through kilkenny for work. Some lovely beefy cells about the place but nada lightning to be seen. It wasn't overall disappointing though.

There was a battle in the clouds today with A real Ireland map in Blue in between the clouds. Well its almost like the map anyway...

No sign of anything too intense/any cell development today. Just looks like 'standard' showers. Having said that, I wouldn't rule out the odd sporadic rumble later.
