Crolla vs Linares is on Sky Sports, should be a very good scrap if anything like the 1st bout.

Please, I beg you, Linares. Knock this overexposed kid clean out...

Oh now, I won't have that. He is someone who has improved no end over the years, he is a very good fighter now. That being said I think Linares wins this, probably by KO.

Mikey Garcia beats Crolla and Linares in the one night.

For some reason I can't remember much about the first fight. Would I be right in saying that the first fight was competitive rather than close? Pointless rematch?

Crolla was more than holding his own till Linares really rocked him in the 6th, he was on top after that. Linares is too quick and skillful for Crolla, I think it will be a more comfortable win but I wouldn't say pointless.

For whatever reason Mr. One dimensional slow motion pitter patter Crolla was competitive.

Seems a very likeable down to earth guy. His style is so boring, yet he's getting cracks at world titles, and even got to label himself a WC.

And btw, he is not and was never a very good fighter. I think you are overrating his so called improvements.

Some nice body shots by Linares in the first round. But Jaysus the commentators are doing my head in

Sweet uppercut from Linares. Beautiful shot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Linares is looking very slick, Crolla struggling to get in range.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Utterly dominant, very impressive so far. Is it just me or is the ref in more shots than the fighters? Its very offputting.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,922 ✭✭✭snowflaker

Showtime cut in and say Linares in control. Sky won't stf about Toyota

If the 1st fight had been like this there would have been no rematch, Linares is really on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,178 ✭✭✭carltonleon

Linares just looking so comfortable. Doubt this will go the distance. The body shots he is landing with have real venom and will take there toll

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,922 ✭✭✭snowflaker

    Hopefully he'll end it.

Tbf, was mandatory rematch as Crolla was the champion, and he'll get nothing better than a fight with Linares. Probably makes some decent money off this fight

Linares is so comfortable that he is actually smiling at Crolla

Linares showing his class but also showing how average Crolla is. Should be stopping him here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

The uppercuts from Linares have been fantastic all fight, poor Crolla is out of his depth here. I'd consider throwing in the towel before he gets hurt.

Sweet UC thought it was lights out- all out there!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,178 ✭✭✭carltonleon

Looks like Crolla is going for broke in this one

Fair play to Crolla for coming back

You'd think from the commentary that Crolla had a great round, I'd say all bar 3 shots hit Linares on the arms. Linares did all the better work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,907 ✭✭✭✭Kristopherus

Crolla is just about tickling Linares. But he has a good chin. Linares hit him with some fearsome uppercuts and how he stayed standing I'll never know.
