Non spread biscuit recipe and method

I'm looking for a recipe or hints for making biscuits that don't lose their shape while baking. I have bought a stamper which will leave a message on the biscuits, but any attempts so far have not been successful...The messages disappear or become distorted as the biscuits spread during baking. Any ideas?

I would suggest using a shortbread recipe like this one.

Freeze the biscuits for a short time first to help keep their shape.
