Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi looking for advice I have a knocking sound coming from the engine of my 07 caddy van sounds worst in the morning when it's cold and the knocking sound is in time with the engine and it's there when I'm driving to. Hoping maybe some one could tell me what this mite be. The van has 200,000 km.

Possible tapping valves, check that oil level on dipstick is between MAX and MIN levels.

The oil level is ok but it dose burn a drop like every 3 months or that I'd have to put 1 litre of oil into it would this lead to the probelm your on about and do ya know is it a big job.

It could be a cause of engine noise but "knocking" is hard to pin down without actually hearing it.

Are you sure it's the engine, and not a buckled rim?
Does sound happen when engine is idling?
Can you start car up, lift bonnet and see if you can pinpoint the source?

Knocking can occur as a result of injectors over fueling which can be particularly bad when left over night and cold.
