Looking to withdraw early from an EBS fixed term savings account. Require the money to purchase a site. The account will still have a balance & we provided a letter from auctioneer saying we are buying a site. however they refuse to give us our money early.

We have accepted the loss of interested & their own terms & conditions allow them to give it to us. They are saying we will not incur any financial loss if we don't get this money.

What is the best procedure for delaying with this? So far we have been dealing with our local branch where the account is held.

    Thanks for any assistance.

One is reminded of the Father Ted episode were Tom Robs the post office rather than fill in all the forms !

Why should they let you withdraw early OP? It's a fixed term and not a demand account after all.

Most fixed term deposits do not allow early withdrawal.

    - Are EBS also providing the mortgage?
    - Can EBS be begged into an early withdrawal?
    - How long is left in the term deposit term?

You could get a personal loan to the value of the term deposit and repay the personal loan when the term deposit matures. Expensive option but it is an option.
