Switching network, transferring data...

I'm about to switch mobile networks from 3.ie to Virgin. ( I'm less than impressed with 3 deciding to up my monthly payment mid-contract as a sneaky way of covering the recent roaming charge restrictions) Anyway, the Virgin deal is SIM only....So as a non-tekkie, I'm hoping someone out there could talk me through how to…

There shouldnt be any data on your SIM, this isnt 1990

Get the handset unlocked first.
