    Howdy. Just pooping in to ask if it is worth doing the white card online (an if so what website) or wait until I get over to Oz? Thanks in advance.

    You can do it online no bother. With the online white card courses you usually need a witness to sign a form saying you actually completed the test and not somebody else, and then get a Statutory Declaration signed by a Justice of the Peace, known as a JP (Peace Commissioner in Ireland I think) to sign off on that.

    A Stat Dec is a legal document so by getting it signed by a JP you are declaring it to be wholly true.

    In reality the stat dec for a white card won't be questioned. If, you were dishonest and happened to suffer an injury at work everything would be investigated and you could be in trouble.

    Some large mining companies may not accept an online white card as their #1 priority is their safety record as contracts can be won and lost on safety records and they will not take the risk that somebody has lied about how they obtained their white card.
