Hi, I know how inhibit a zone via keypad for ATS2000 panel.

But it keeps returning to uninhibited after alarm unset?

It used to remain uninhibited always.

Any ideas? It's a pain having to inhibit every time alarm is set

Inhibit will always be for one arm disarm cycle. If you want a zone to remain off you should isolate instead of inhibit.

Two options would be to either close of the zone in the control panel or if you have the engineer code change the zone type to unused.

    Thanks for the reply lads.
Did not realise inhibit for one arm
    Cycle only.

Don't have engineer code do don't think I can isolate

You could replace the detector with the same type if you think its faulty.
Alternately if you open the detector you can disconnect the alarm terminals in the PIR and join them together, this will make the panel think the zone is closed.

Is there no option to isolate in the user menu for your code?

Closing off the zone in the sensor will get you through till you replace it.

Could it be say an insect triggering if inside PIR? Or more likely to be faulty?
Think it's a Honeywell dual tec installed 2008

    Maybe try turning down sensitivity?

Hard to know without seeing the environment the sensor is in.
    Is there signs of insects?

That is correct with that system you will have to inhibit each time you arm it.

Might be worth your while to take the cover off that dual tec and check to see if there anything in it, also make sure it is not obscured with webs etc.

Try clean & then replace would be my recommendation. In the meantime if you want to close it off just open the PiR & short out the connections C & NC.
If you are in doubt post up a pic when you open it.

Thanks I'll try cleaning it tomorrow.

Just to confirm when you say short out C & NC you mean to join them?

    Thanks
