People can claim that the superficial impressions don't matter to them but they are either mad or liars. It's the human condition.

I think people "wear" certain sizes differently. It's very subjective. I've seen some who are probably a bit overweight but it just works for them. Personally, I'm into the medium category. Skinny face but slim to medium elsewhere. Hate twigs though, why damage yourself for what people think you should look like or your own vanity?

The aim of the fashion industry with female models is not really to appeal to men. In turn men don't think lustily about Twiggys arse and Kate Moss's chest. This came up elsewhere today, the usual explanation is that clothes hang better on thin women and this makes sense, you're not looking at the breasts, the shape of the outfit is not altered by the figure behind it.
