Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Turning garden room into studio

We have a "garden room" out the back of our garden for a number of years similar to a Shomera. We live in an estate in Dublin and our back garden is visible from other houses in the area. The room doesn't get used all that much anymore and one of the kids is interested in turning it into a small studio (bed, toilet/shower)..

Does anybody know the ins and outs of doing this? I'm guessing its not technically allowed assuming theres some permission needed but what would be the risks involved if it were reported to the council? Slap on the wrist/fines?

Yes the ins and outs are simple.
You will not get permission to use it for any habitable purposes so that rules out granny flat, studio, flat, apartment, separate living space etc etc

It is and always will be a garden shed.

Plan Enf section can and will have you in court and facings costs very quickly.
