Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    His back now apparently.

Milner gets to the by line, kicks it right against the first man and then we obviously lose it from the corner.

so fúkcing slow.. instead of cutting through the defense they play it wide giving burnley the chance to get back...ffs

I can't be the only one finding it difficult to see how we will win this?

This is worse than the Leicester performance, didn't even think it was possible.

    Origi is such as weakling...

Liverpool just can't break teams like this down and keep doing the same thing over and over with the same results.

Just tuned into this. Liverpool beat Arsenal last week with ease and they are struggling against Burnley who haven't won away from home this week. Klopp must be scratching his head with this lot.

    Because its Moreno.

I get the defensive discipline stuff away to Arsenal, but home to Burnley where you need to spread the defence out....

Burnley can just defend one half of the pitch and restrict Mane with Coutinho wanting to move inside from the left and Milner behind him.

I could probably sit here and call every single pass this team are going to make for the next hour, it's so predictable.

Some of the hyperbole he comes out with when it is Liverpool faltering is noticeable alright.

If you have an aversion to hyperbole when Liverpool are losing why would you possibly go to the match thread?

Might as well just forfeit the rest of the games this season the way things are going. We could genuinely lose 7 or 8 of the remaining games.

I almost wish we'd throw Moreno on just to remind people.

Liverpool should go three at the back

    Matip---Klavan---Milner
    Can
    Clyne
    Moreno
    Lallana
    ----Mane
    Origi
    Coutinho

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Every time we get a chance to break we just wait until their defence is back in position to attack.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

What a great set-piece, give a poor ball to Wijnaldum and hope he scores from 30 yards out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

A free kick in a great position and that's the best they come up with? Spineless.

He's too much of a liability, you're basically starting the game 1 goal down because he will have to defend at some stages during the game and as we've seen time after time, he'll make a strange decision and it will more than likely result in a goal.

If it had gone in it would have been genius.

Majority of all set piece attempts don't come off. No need to call them spineless.

Lovern not injured, something going on with him we don't know about.
It's very strange how he is in and out.

Given Burnley's record on the road, I'd bet that you will. They haven't kept a clean sheet on the road this season, I believe.

Spineless, not taking any risks, afraid to put the ball in the box because Burnley could break. As soon as Coutinho stepped away from it and left it to Milner I knew it'd go nowhere.

    That's exactly what it was.

    A lack of responsibility.

Wouldn't surprise me to hear some booing at half time. I wouldn't if I were there, but I'm sick of this crap, as the match day fans must be too. We'll see soon anyhow. Hopefully we'll score before then and head it off.

Easy target. Lallana and Coutinho have barely touched the ball between them.

not agressive enough, not sharp enough to the ball... slow, ponderous...

as someone already said - no leaders....

Yes ,on 44th minute and 57th minute .

If that happens, you are doing the next match thread. No arguments.

He's hardly going to go for someone of Coutinho's stature or and English international.

Dont think its justified to boo a team at half time at 1-0 down......think its bad form, they need support but every sideways pass is moaned at, I'd hate to play at Anfield when losing tbh.

can't rely on him i think he needs to be moved on.... unfortunately.. the same with Hendo... we've a lot of sick notes...

Thanks, knew that they got a point or two away from home but didn't realise they got a 0-0.

The team just uses Mane wrong in these games. He's being expected to pick the ball up, run through half the opposition and score, we should be putting him around the box next to Origi, he's a goalscorer.

When you see a performance as inept as this one as often as this against a really mediocre team, booing is 100% justified. I'd agree with you if this was the first time this has happened, but it's far from it.
