Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The team just uses Mane wrong in these games. He's being expected to pick the ball up, run through half the opposition and score, we should be putting him around the box next to Origi, he's a goalscorer.

    Highly agree with this.

Who needs a Plan B? Or decent defenders come to think of it.

Dont think its justified to boo a team at half time at 1-0 down......think its bad form, they need support but every sideways pass is moaned at, I'd hate to play at Anfield when losing tbh.

I don't agree with booing them either, but given that every game since the new year, bar Spurs and Arsenal have been terrible, insipid, rubbish basically, it is sickening an awful lot of people. Hopefully there won't be any, but we'll see soon.

Yay, equaliser. No booing now anyhow.

I really cannot watch Liverpool vs any team under 6th anymore. It's an exercise in sado masochism.

Edit. And of course they score. Lel

Get in Gini, not in the least bit deserved but I'll take it for sure.

Good stuff.....great time to get it.

Amazing what happens when they get their passing together.

finally started to play a bit of quick ball and there's a goal... quick passes beat these type of teams not long ball stop and start...

If that happens, you are doing the next match thread. No arguments.

all we need now is the 57th minute goal, and I will have confirmation that the time machine works.

When you see a performance as inept as this one as often as this against a really mediocre team, booing is 100% justified. I'd agree with you if this was the first time this has happened, but it's far from it.

I understand the frustration but honestly, I could never see myself doing it.......is booing really going to get a team motivated? I wouldn't agree with it anyway.

Two games two goals for Gini. Great time to score but I really hope the goal doesn't have Klopp going in happy at half-time.

100% agree, I'm like a nutter turning tv off screaming that's it I'm fcuking done, only to turn it back on a minute later to torture myself.

Jesus in my 45 years following Liverpool I cannot remember a 3 months as frustrating as this, Valium time now...

"Jeff Hendrix" according to Redknapp there.

Burnley will go in a bit pissed off which is good, Klopp should still give Liverpool a bollocking.

I wouldn't either tbh, but I couldn't possibly blame anyone for doing so given our "throw a load of shîte at the wall and hope something sticks" approach against the smaller teams. It must be absolutely head-melting for those season ticket holders. I think it can motivate in certain situations, the manager and players are going through the motions and the fans would let them know it.

Anyway, irrelevant stuff at the minute thank god. :)

Very inept display, blessed to be level, Can has been hopeless, afraid to mess his hair earlier, shirking tackles.

First 15 maybe but they have resorted to lumping balls up front now. Last 30 they have been very average.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

I'm fully expecting the second half to begin exactly as the first did. We're not going to kick on from that goal until Burnley give us a couple more scares, or even score a goal.

"What a difference a goal makes" says the lad on Sky. The half ended immediately after the goal, we don't know its impact yet

You would automatically think that alright, but you'd also have thought we'd be quick out of the traps at the start of the first half, it could be more of the same in this second half. Let's hope for better though.

He's been poor but thats not accurate at all. If anything he's trying to make too many tackles when he needs to let the cbs do that and then position to recycle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Wijnaldum does to Barnes exactly what he just had done to himself, Burnley get the free kick because Barnes fell down though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,105 ✭✭✭mada999

thats bollocks.. how was that not a free to us?

a few mins earlier Coutinho was dragged back and no free either :( ?

Did Jamie Redknapp say that by any chance? I like the fella but he comes out with some ridiculous statements at times.

Burnley getting a load of 50 50 calls ... we dont seem to get them

Clyne is so annoying - had an easy pass inside.

Anyone would be better than Can in there at this stage.
