Cataracts, anyone had experience of them?

    What is involved?

Just found out today I need two and more laser surgery. Lasers on my retinas I know about having had a few in the past but unsure what to expect regarding cataract surgery. :(

Hell fire and buckets of blood what next?

A friend had two removed in the past month and is delighted. Simple and no problems except needs to change his glasses prescription

    Friend had them done recently.

2 weeks between eyes, under local.

You wear a plastic eye patch for a day or so, week after in bed and lots of eye drops.

I had corrective laser about 6 years ago, but eyes are starting to go again. Was perfect for ages but need reading glasses now. In fairness they told me that would happen.

My mother had one cataract done last Sept.

No anaesthetic, felt no pain, couple of minutes for the procedure.

Eye drops post the procedure 4 times a day for (I think) a month was the biggest inconvenience!

Took a couple of days to recover full sight.
