Trying to figure out what to do this year for St. Patricks day.

I be going to the parade at 11:30 but that lasts for 30mins max. The idea of drinking copious amounts of alcohol throughout the day doesn't appeal to me and if i do go out it'll be later in the evening (8ish).

So what is there to do in the interim?

There is a free concert in Eyre Square after the parade. Might be worth a look. Some of the pubs will have trad music too- even if you don't want to drink lots it could be worth going to hear the music. If the weather is good I usually head to salthill for a walk.
