Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey just wondering does anyone else have this problem with just specifically black jeans?

Il buy a new pair of black skinny jeans, last pair I bought from Vera mode and I bought 2 pairs as I really liked them they were really skinny which I think it's also really hard to find really skinny jeans anyway again after a while of wearing them and washing them they are losing their tightness and also I find when they come out of the washing machine white streaks would be on them, I've had the same problem with black jeans from new look?

Should I just hadwash them or what? And also does anyone know where I can buy super skinny jeans that won't lose their tightness after wear?

Also just wondering this is a different topic to Jeans but how many people here if you ordered a dress online and loved the colour and material but didn't fit right or was too long, would get the new dress altered instead of returning it?

Black? Or very, very, very dark blue?

Thread more suited to fashion, you'll get better responses there.

My black jeans are from Zara. I've worn them about twice a week for a year and they're still as skintight as they were when I bought them.

I don't get white streaks though. I wash them inside out so maybe that helps.

Thanks I always use wash them inside out so I was thinking next time I was going to wash them the other way. Anyway I might check out Zara for a pair thanks.

How often do you wash your jeans? You're supposed to very rarely wash jeans, apparently. Levi's CEO advises to never machine wash your jeans.

At least once a week. See I wear them in work for like 2 days and then wash them. See that's why I ended up buying 2 pairs of da same jeans I was going to keep one just for work and the other then for outside of work but I ended up getting them mixed up so have ended up wearing them both.

i bought the exact same jeans in navy, wine but don't have any of these problems with them but I do tend to wear the black ones more.

You can get special detergents for darks to keep them dark, woolite do one. Normal powders have whiteners in them to get your whites white which obviously is not what you want.

    You're washing them too often.

Ya I'm just going to buy another pair and keep them completely separate to wearing them at work. Il try Zara like another poster suggesting.

Does anyone else notice with black jeans that they get all fluff attached to them aswell like you need to put a flint brush over them aswell where's you would never have to use a flint brush on any other colour jeans.

If there are no visible stains sometimes airing jeans outside on the line whilst inside out can save having to wash them as much. Years ago I was a denim specialist for a particular shop and because I was regularly given very expensive jeans I wanted to keep them for going out rather than wearing to work so I pretty much wore one pair non stop and washed them probably only once a month. Nowadays I only use a detergent specifically for black clothes and only wash black clothes together which I think helps keep the dye intact.

When mine start to fade I just get one of those packets of black dye that you can use in the washing machine and run that with a few pairs of jeans, they're like new after that.

I would also say you are washing them much too often. Try ironing them (inside out) to freshen them up in between times.

oh I don't know about Zara Jeans - bought a black pair and first wash they came out more grey with white streaks - was disgusted ; never again ! Totally understand people's point though - black jeans are impossible to keep for whatever reason - thought it was just me . I got a black pair in RI recently and they just attract white fluff ! grrr ... looking forward to people tips here !!

I always hand wash black jeans in lukewarm water as hot water causes the dye to run. A very quick rinse also- I don't leave them in for more than about 30 seconds I'd say.

I got some super skinny ones in M&S, they've kept their shape despite being worn loads, and kept their colour too.

I was all my jeans together, at a 20 degree wash and only every few weeks. I would never wash jeans weekly as they will fade.

I know a few people who when washing jeans, don't use washing powder, just use fabric conditioner to keep them soft, never tried this myself so can't say how well it works mind you.

These are the ones I got, highly recommend them

Has anyone else tried the skinny jeans in Lidl? They're under a tenner, they wash well and are a surprisingly good fit and decent quality.

Thanks I actually meet my friend one day and she was wearing black skinny jeans, looked really good and she said they were from M&S.

I checked my jeans from Zara last night to see which ones they are and funnily enough the label on the back has completely faded. They have loads of options so I'd well believe that some aren't as good as others. I wouldn't have spent more than €30 on mine.
