Guessing this must be based somewhat off of IPW. That's Intercontinental Pro Wrestling, a short-lived 80s fed, that it was briefly home to the infamous "Jumpin'" Jeff Farmer (yip!). But it had a lot of other terrible wrestlers with not much better promos such as 'Wild' Bill Ass. Unintentional comedy gold.

You also have to think that the interviewer, Buddy Lee, had previously had a job as an anchor at some regional news channel.
