I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that keeps luggage for a few hours?

Yes, there is an ink shop (yes, very random!) next to the main bus station that holds luggage. It's called Recharge on Parnell Place.

Paddywagon tours on Washington St (city end) seem to do this also. They have a sign up....

At one time, no matter where you went in the world, there were lockers, of varying sizes but since 9/11, this seems have stopped. I had heard about 'Recharge' and it's near the bus station. Failing that, if you're staying in a B&B or Hotel, they'll very often agree to keep your luggage for a few hours after you've checked out.

It might be worth asking in a B&B if you're staying there.

Back in the day there was supervised luggage storage in the bus station itself, but cuts saw the end of that.

I'd say security had a lot to do with it as suspicions of bombs in bags etc. etc.
