efacec has started 10 new installations and is now offering their new HV range for commercial sale:

    http://electricmobility.efacec.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/CS332I1606D1_HV.pdf

    Highlights:

Indoor cabinet inverters - single cabinet per 175kW nominal (163kW) unit, double for 350kW nominal (326kW) and more stacked for Bus and HGV charging

User-interface unit - smaller/thinner than the qc45 provides the CCS plug and comes in two versions - a 175kW station with an uncooled cable and a 350kW version with a liquid cooled cable

All versions supply up to 920V DC (up to 175A / 350A respectively)

Compatible with ground loops (like the QC45) to detect bay occupancy

Chargepoint is also coming to Europe with their Express Plus range of rapids (selling to local networks, not setting up their own like the US):

    Highlights:

Stations can operate independently in pairs as 50kW rapids and upgraded later with power cubes

Outdoor rated inverter cubes hold up to sixteen 31.25kW inverter modules, with one cube supporting eight stations up to 187kW per port can be supplied, with one supplying four stations up to 312kW per port, with one cube supplying two stations up to 400kW per port.

Stations can supply up to 1000V DC (up to 400A)

Camera on the front of the station for ANPR and bay occupancy detection

ABB has a solution in testing and contracts signed for stations, but haven't launched it yet.

ANPR could be a great asset to facilitate enforcement ref. ICE'ing and EV overstaying.

I'm impressed with the cable size for 350 Kw.

I expect this will provide 350 Kw at the higher voltage of 920 volts ?

Future electrics will have to go with higher voltages, the current would be far too high for the current average of 390 volts and one reason I expect VW were looking to go with , was it 600 odd volts ?

We can't even get the ESB to install 45 Kw chargers in the last year so what's that chances of getting even 100 Kw chargers ? 0 I'd say.

By the time the ESB start installing chargers again they'll need to be going with 100 Kw as the new standard, at least. We could be waiting another year for more chargers......
