Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Combination Microwave makes squeaky noises

I have a Lidl combination microwave like this one. It's no longer under warrantee. Lately it's been making some intermittent squeaky noises when the turntable turns (not for the full revolution, just for part of it). I know it's not the turntable itself because I had a spare one and the noise persists. I've been wondering if the cause of the noise could be the mechanism under the central axle, so I've been thinking it could be just a matter of adding some lubricant to it, but before doing anything crazy and/or potentially dangerous I thought I'd ask here - can I use WD40 or something similar inside a microwave? If that's not an option, is there anything else I should check/do before sending it off to be repaired? (I mean, I wouldn't want to send off an entire lamp if only the bulb needs to be replaced).

If this is not the right place to ask, could someone please point me in the right direction and/or move this post? Thanks.

the turntable revolves with the aid of a little motor, turn it over on its end to access the base and remove the motor and give it a squirt of wd, it wont do it any harm even it doesn't cure it
