Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oh well, shame cos he'd made some excellent saves up til that point.

    Lingard with the handshakes.

When him and Alli play for England the handshake will be a work or art.

I actually like him and think he was treated very poorly by lvg.

What a weird game, went from in control to kicking it away then sealed it with a bizzare goal.
The draw specialists give us 4 goals too.

Did Gestede try to bite him? Either that or he tried to kiss him

Looked like a bite and that Bailly went nuts makes it even more likely. Scummy behavior if so. Thought we'd seen the last of the biting when the other biter left the league.

Aye glad there was no bite. No place in the game for people who do that. Utterly Scummy stuff.

Wonder what gestede said to him because it went nuts after too.

Time to get out of there, let those Boro thugs enjoy their trip back to the Championship.

    Onwards and upwards for United

Sitting back and lumping it forward to the worst player on the pitch is a shocking way to see this game out.

You mean the MotM winner today?

Not that I disagree that the tactics were bollocks but i guess when it's the 3rd game in 6 days some concessions have to be made.

39% against a team that haven't scored on 8 hours of football is telling. I'd love to see the teams Man Utd have had more possession against compared with the teams they've had less possession against. Love that Man Utd Boards is arguing such a basic point.

Every single post from you shows how clueless you are. Go and check which team has averaged more possession than "the best thing to happen to Chelsea" and you will find certain Mr Defensive manager's team in there.

glad it was not a bite

I like to think Middlesbrough are not a classless football club that would have a player who would bite on their roster

Ye, but go check what happened when those 2 teams played twice, and see which team played in a low block and crowded the box and which team played with the ball.

Exactly, and if they did I doubt they would defend him either.

Your initial non sense post was about possession. Guess which team averages more Possession than ManUtd? Only City, Liverpool, Spurs and today Arsenal overtook ManUtd.

Guess what? ManUtd had more possession than Chelsea when they lost 4-0.

    Lingard was, no?

I don't know who was. The post I quoted suggested Rashford which I find hard to believe.

Did you suggest Rashford was the worst player on the pitch????????????

If you did, you are merely looking for a reaction. And that is the nice suggestion of what you are doing!

I thought he was very poor today and in the second half when we were camped in our own box he offered little as an outlet.

In fairness, the second half was hardly a highlights reel for him, so you have a point but if you are a player like him stuck in that tactical platform you are hardly going to thrive. He has plenty to improve on, most notably his finishing and decision making seems to have taken a step back but he was not the worst player on the pitch.
How about every one of our defence and even Mata had less of an impact than Rashford. Oh, and then there is 90% of the Boro team.

How did every one of our defence have less of an impact when we did nothing but defending for the last 25 minutes with one of our defenders even scoring?

My comment wasn't a reflection of the overall game, it was what was happening at the time. At the time, Middlesbrough were on top and we were sitting back inviting them on. Mata wasn't on the pitch. Apart from the goal, we defended well but had no outlet to relieve the pressure in Rashford. Only Lingard breaking forward gave us a break and even then Rashford didn't offer much in the way of support to him. One of the commentators picked up on this too when he said Rashford didn't do Lingard any favours by narrowing the angle of his run. He sent a simple enough cross into row Z and wasted an opportunity to hold up the ball by hammering a nothing shot directly into a defender's shins.

When I left my post he was probably the most ineffective player on the pitch. I wasn't looking for any kind of reaction.
