Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No thanks, I might just grab one of the many empty pitch-side seats instead.

Firminos was a bit of a jumping lunge from behind, got the ball but still deserved a yellow.

Toure kinda caught Can on the shoulder with a kick when they were both on the ground.

Can was already on the ground when toure lunged in from a standing position.

Nah, wouldn't have given that. Not enough in that to be a penalty.

Can someone explain to me why the City fans are booing Milner - a model pro who gave them a good half decade of service?

He ran his contract down, without coming clean and saying he wanted a move. Also, he's had a few digs at us since he left. That tends not to go down well with fans.

That's three fouls from Fernandinho now, expect him to escape a booking.

He ran his contract down because he new he wouldn't be guaranteed first team football with yourselves. Hardly that bad. Also doesn't strike me as the kind of fella who'd say a bad word about anyone.

    Klavan's a mess here.

Fair enough. Would have assumed he was beloved as a key member of two title winning squads.

It's not so much him moving. It happens. But trust me, he's had a few little digs at us since he moved. Nothing wildly OTT, but they have been noticed.

Clyne's been very good here, his passes are finding Liverpool players for once.

Two hands up for the corner, as always.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,718 ✭✭✭upandcumming

    Looked a penalty there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

We get so many corners, can we just score one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Two hands up for the corner, as always.

Just to tell the lads in the box it'll be a crap one.

Incredible overreaction from Aguero there, got Matip the yellow card though.

Amazing that the game is still 0 - 0

I think the teams read this thread before the game and they are missing these chances on purpose, just to annoy those of us who predicted a goal fest.

Decent first half for all except Micheal Oliver. Two very soft yellows for Liverpool n

Wasn't convinced it would be, will take 0-1 now

That yellow for Matip is one of the softest yellows I've seen.

Klavan is a disaster waiting to happen with sterling and Sane looking quietly lively.

I'd take the draw right now as a Liverpool fan. Fancy we'll have to score to get a result in this one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Can should have screamed really loud like Ageruo, Toure would be off the pitch then.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Fun half, really high level on show. I imagine fans of both teams must enjoy watching this type of football each week since Guardiola and Klopp took control of their respective clubs. Both sides could, and probably should, have at least 2 goals each.

City putting together some fantastic combinations in getting Sane and Sterling in behind the Liverpool backline, they've found Silva and De Bruyne in a bit of space and, with Fernandinho in a half right back/half midfield role City look more solid in midfield certainly than they did the last time they played Liverpool.

Yet again, another penalty not given for a foul on Raheem.

Tactical first half. Hoping the gloves come off in the second

I think on balance the penalties not given balance out.
