Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A better team would have punished both sides by now....

Had so many chances and half chances. City have had aswell of course, but we can only worry about our own profligacy

Defending not a priority, good stuff.

Are you suggesting a triple threat showdown?

    "Conte to three!"

Mane wrecked the last 15 mins, producing nothing

It's as big a problem as our CB issues.

We simply have nobody who is clinical. Nobody.

A strange match where two teams bizzarely making eachother look bad whilst also making eachother look good!

Damn; thought that was in for a second!

Silly from Mane, he's knackered and needs to come off.

Both teams have missed some brilliant chances.

    Klopp going for the win.

Neville gives Mane MOTM for winning the penalty...

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

The emptyhad, one would think it would be full with all to play for still.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Origi really should look more energetic than these lads

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Gary Nevvile gives
Magnificent Male Of The Moment to Mane, for winning the penalty ?

I thought Firmino won the penalty .

Neville reckons Mane was MOTM?!! WTF. He was poison. Should be Silva.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Wijnaldum a clear MOTM for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

That was a bloody excellent match. Very entertaining.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Decent point, I'll take that given both sides missed huge chances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,508 ✭✭✭✭noodler

Origi has been a lazy waste of space since coming on.

Decent match and a pretty clean thread.

Stones has been pretty good. Can, Matip, Firmino and Sane also had very good games.

No one really stood out though.

Good point, what a game. Great to see both teams just going for it :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,439 ✭✭✭SM01

Very entertaining match and probably a fair result. Some poor attempts at converting as well as some very questionable refereeing decisions. De Bruyne's pass for the Aguero goal was lovely. The B@stard! As a Liverpool supporter I thought Can and Wijnaldum both played very well.

"The coaches enjoyed just as much as we did"

Sure they did.............dropping possible points in a frantic Champ league race with some awful misses.

Fairly excellent game there. Hugely exciting. I think it pretty much summed up City's season; exciting, fluid football let down by bizarre individual errors and some truly horrendous finishing. To be fair, City have gotten better as the season has gone along and Guardiola's had more time to get his ideas across, I do wonder by the end of the Summer window, how many of those players that started today will still be starting? Lots of good things but the glaring weaknesses still let them down.

Laughable decision, wasn't it? From a City point of view, I thought Otamendi was outstanding today. But he's never going to win a Sky MOTM award.

Honest from Milner regarding the penalty call on Sterling.

Stones MOTM for me. Great match happy with the result

"A point is definitely better than a defeat going into the international break." Amazing insight by Mr Boring himself.

That's an intelligent sentence from a footballer tbf!

The game needs more managers like Pep and Klopp.

At least they both usually speak positively about the game where possible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Klopp: "There's one outstanding side this season – and they will deserve to be champions."

    Classy too.

Neville gives Mane MOTM for winning the penalty...

Sume him up as a co-commentator. He shouldn't be commentating on games stick to analysis even though he is overated at that also.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

It was a very difficult match to pick a MOTM.

If i had to, I'd give it to Stones. His best game for City that I've seen.

For Liverpool, Wijnaldum probably edged Can.

Yep. Agree with that. And they try to play the game positively as well. Speaking as a biased City fan, Pep can be a little sharp with some of the lovely people from the media. The media (specially in the UK) make it difficult for people to warm to them. But I suppose they are only doing their job. Hopefully Pep will get used to them while he's in England and, for want of a better term, play along with them. Klopp plays them perfectly.

  • Great result

City win, from a United perspective would have been better.

Don't be "gloating". Some fans would rather the points
