August Medal strokes off whites in Druids Heath yesterday.... 87 gross for 74 nett ... 30 putts ... 1 triple on the shortest par 4... otherwise very steady
Stableford off greens today.... 34 points.... putts wouldn't drop but very happy overall..... more to come.. ☺

Finally reached my goal, had two good comps. One the CSS was 33 and I shot 38, he other shot another 4 above the CSS so a ESR was triggered. Feel like I am starting to plateau a little bit so changes are coming to get to next level.

We serious have some good golfers on boards, To get into the top 50 you have to be less than 14! considering I think they say the average golfing HC is 19 ... Id gladly retire if I ever got to 14...

Haven't posted here in a couple of years as I kept getting my hopes up and dashed!!!!

But a recent run of form has seen improvement, drastic and dramatic improvement, all in the space of 5 weeks, and hopefully will continue.

Had no real expectations regarding handicap this year with Captain duties but a 43 & 40 points in the last couple of weeks along with an ESR has had a dramatic effect.

Back to 12 Hcap after a very poor round in yesterdays Captain's Day. To be fair the weather didn't help matters and whilst I hit some decent shots the bad ones really cost me.

A golfer only get a maximum increase of one shot, the increase is measured from his lowest playing handicap in that year. So I think if you have just gone to 5.0 you can still get another 10 0.1s to go to 6.

I've shown great potential in recent rounds, but just falling short of beating my handicap, but I feel there is 1 or 2 strong rounds in the locker, and I am confident of getting down to at least 19.

After months of desperation, I finally broke my handicap with 37 points in a stableford medal and got cut 0.3 to 17.8. Well, it's a start

Moving in the right direction... Was cut from 20.8 to 19.8 today.. shot 74 in medal and standard scratch was 76.. not sure how that works?? I would have expected to be cut to 20 exactly?

Could very easily have been cut by 2.4 today but a 9 on a par 4 index1 14th made a balls of things for me.. had just gone par par birdie then started thinking 'I might win this' then bang a 9! 72 won it.. that 2.4 cut and a medal woukd have been so sweet!
