haven't played in a while with football on and a shoulder injury.

our place is non qualifying and i can't see that changing any time soon.

My goal for 2018 will be to stay at 5 and maybe make a junior cup team.

I played 8 counting competitions this year. I was cut once for 0.2, had 1 buffer zone and I got 6 0.1's back.

Who'd have thought having a couple of kids would have such an impact!


3 of those 6 0.1s were harsh though. I was 1 point/shot from the buffer zone in each one of them

Spent the year getting used to playing off 10 having dropped from 18 last year. Didn't play even half as much as I wanted to so will hope to drop further next year.

Met my target.

Driving is in a good place. Chipping and putting have improved. Irons feel good.
Picked up a wrist injury late summer which I'm finally over.
Mixed around with the bag a bit throughout the year and am happy now.

seasons done now. 2017 was a bad year. first year I didn't win any competition since 2010. 2018 will be better.

Didn't reach my goal of single figures.

Was a disappointing year. Never really got going.

Played 22 comps and had 9 .1's and a few small cuts. Stayed at 11 all year apart from a brief stint at 12.


Lowest score was an 81 which I had twice and highest was 90.

Hole best was 64.

Your low to high range is fairly impressive. My range is about 18 shots.

My hole best is 50 but i've played over 50 rounds.
Short enough par 70 that plays to 68 CSS a lot.

Drifted back out after getting to 6 courtesy of an ESR in August. Lots of work to do over the winter based on recent performances :-)

Almost made it, had some lessons this year which cut out a bad slice, now an ugly hook rears its head every once in a while, but I've kept myself in play much much more. Had a few days where I fell apart in the final few holes turning what could/should have been a 0.9 or 1.2 cut into a 0.3 or a buffer zone. On the flip side I hit a few buffers despite forgetting how to play over the first 4/5 holes and having 2 or 3 points after them

Lowest for the year was 18.1 to many 0.1 back after that bad timing on single comps as I had a lot of nights out, night before playing plus my club mixed it up this year and had to many scrambles for my liken..Suppose got halfway there..

Still.. broke 90 a good few times this year for a first! won my first ever comp at my club after been there for 6 years! had a good few seconds and thirds but never won previous. Set a new personal best of 85 strokes.. Qualified for the final of the captains day and so much so I went out in the second last group 1 shot behind the leaders!

And made the boards Ryder Jug team! So a lot of goals met... Now all I need to do is learn how to fcuking chip over the winter and Ill be single figures next season

didnt have a great year. failed to make our bruen team but maybe not entirely due to my play. won 1 comp in April. missed over 7 weeks due to being in Australia, hard to find sympathy for that i know.

need to review where i am going, if im going to get lower i need to work on chipping and putting and that requires time and practice. not sure if i have enough time available to me to be worthwhile

Looking forward to setting a target for next year. Got membership recently and got a handicap of 14. Previous official handicap was 16 So it feels like a cut!
