    Long story short,

Bought a house, it was on prepay power with electric Ireland.

I called electric Ireland, got an account set up and over the phone a man and a lady helped me switch from pre pay to bill pay. Involved inputting 2 codes(one of which was 70 digits).

But the keypad(grey and white) is still saying low credit.

    Hi A_Sober_Paddy,

Thank you for choosing Electric Ireland.

The dedicated Pay As You Go (PAYG) team can assist you on 1850 372 372 - their telephone lines are open until 8pm Monday to Saturday.

We do not have access to the PAYG system here in the Social Media team, but if you have any other query for us, please let us know. If you would like us to look up your details on the billing system, just private message us the relevant Electric Ireland account number or the meter point reference number/MPRN, state that you are the account-holder and confirm your address and date of birth.

We will respond as soon as possible.

    Best regards,
    Una

It's going to keep saying that even though it's deactivated. If you press '7' and it says something 's/c 0-00' then it's deactivated and the balance won't move. If it's anything other than 0-00 then the meter is still active
