Hello

Can i ask why is there a major exchange difference between GB pound and Euro for the following

http://www.richersounds.ie/p-202044-ue49ku6400.aspx

Obviously there is cross border transactions but appears to be weighed on the heavy side ?

XE pricing

579 GBP =672.380EUR

Hi Roadrunnermick.

Thanks for the post.

Our Euro pricing in not a direct conversion to our sterling prices.

We take into consideration our competitors in the South of Ireland as well as the UK. We try to set our Euro pricing to be cheaper than our competition in the south.
One of our competitors in the south of Ireland are selling this screen for 849.99 Euro

There are even some products on our website that are cheaper in Euro than sterling.

You can pay in sterling no problems and let you bank work out the exchange rate if that work out cheaper.

I hope this helps clear things up.

Thanks Kenny & Roadrunner,

just to clarify this post so other Boardies don't have to look up the details as there is no pricing showing above:

The Samsung UE49KU6400 is £579 + £6.99 delivery = £585.99 on our site here:

Its also available at a guaranteed euro rate at €729 including delivery

We always try to be transparent with our pricing and we sell at fixed Euro and GBP prices so you don't have to worry about exchange rates. ( unless you want to!)

XE.com will publish exchange rates which are 'mid market rates' - these are rates which you will get if you are purchasing currency in bulk - ie you will not get these rates at a retail level - XE also does not take into account any Forex charges which you will receive if you try to purchase GBP with your Euro CCard...

We are at €729 inc delivery on the Samsung UE49KU6400 including delivery and 6 year warranty - the next best advertised price I can see in Ireland is at €761 including delivery but a standard 12 month warranty and the best price from a 'real' B & M store is €849 from Currys / PC world - so our €729 does appear to be a fair price...

..however, we ALWAYS allow our Customers to pay for any of our products at the advertised price using whatever currency they prefer - ie if you are in the ROI you can pay in either GBP or € euro - or if you are in NI you can pay in either GBP or € euro ( Lots of our products are actually cheaper in euro - its always worth checking out both prices! )

As ever just drop us a line if you have any queries,

ATVB,

John Mc & Crew
