    Hi Mark & Co,

Its not uncommon to copy paste from HTML tables into the talk to forum but it seems the parser is broken.

    The editor looks great:

The resultant bbcode posted not so:

Its also pretty common to see it with lists, perfect in editor but "[*]" everywhere in the final post.

Dont think its platform dependent but just for clarity:

    Hey there ED E,

The Talk To forums use their own editor and the issue seems to be caused by how it handles the pasting of formatted content. The editor automatically parses on its own bbcode version of tables, which is different to the customised one that we utilise. As this is incompatible, it just outputs as plain text.

According to the tech guys, getting this to work would involve digging into the internals of the editor and changing the way tables are parse into bbcode OR disabling the insertion of rich content. I hope you're not doing this too frequently because it doesn't look like it's going to be too high on the list of priorities, I'm afraid.

I understand their regex pain. Its not so niche in that service providers can post pricing tables etc that end up poorly legible. If they can bump it up the bug tracker it would benefit your paying clients.

    Thanks :)
