Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If they are giving oxygen it must be bad. Shocking tackle.

Dirty tackles should see the tackler suspended at least until the player they injured comes back!

So sorry for seamus, initially I thought it looked a 50 50 tackle but not seeing the replay makes me think it was dirty.

Horrible stuff but didn't look that bad a tackle, they both went for it and clashed legs. Hard to see as it happened so fast

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Just because the tackle may have been bad doesn't make the lad a scumbag.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,293 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

Missed the tackle, RTE stated were not replaying due to nature. But just looking at Coleman being treated, and on the Oxygen/Gas and Air, looks like his season is done.

    :(

Absolutely scummy thing to do but what harm in a replay. Won't break twice.

Kids watching the match at home don't need to see a David busst type injury.

Keano shook Taylors hand when he was leaving the field, so I was thinking maybe its not that bad after all.

Then again it was Roy Keane.

Poor guy, always liked Coleman. He's a no nonsense honest guy who always gives 100%

Bad tackle but not sure he ever thought the actual outcome would ever happen.

Coleman is a quality player and comes across well...can only hope it's a straightforward one t come back from

Hope they're overstating it, but they'd have a pitchside view.

If ever there was a team less equipped to take advantage of a numerical advantage it's this Irish team.

Roy was getting him off the pitch, in fairness he looked suitably annoyed with him.

He went in to foul, so when he injured he shouldn't be surprised. Disgusting behaviour.

Aww man. I feel bad for laughing caus I'm so sorry for Coleman. I'll see if I can get a gif up. I need to see it again to judge too

still stunned by what happened to Coleman...hopefully its a clean, single break that can mend ok.

Dunphy to be in tears after the game no doubt

He didn't try to break his leg ffs. Hopefully it's not a bad break and he's back for the new season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,050 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

His leg looked straight enough, so might not have been a bad break

Plus, he wasn't taking any gas & air on way off, so hopefully a fracture or minor break

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

    Get McGeady on ffs.

  • Word of warning, avoid twitter

One of the worst tackles I've seen in a long time

Could be the end of Coleman's career, never mind season.

I remember Ramsey suffering something similar vs Stoke many years back. Surgery and time and hopefully he'll be back in action.

Replayed it a few times, looks like a clean break on his shin. Serious power & impact in the tackle.

McGeady needs to come on here, and fast.

I'd like to see a replay just to see whether it looked like there was intent from Taylor or not. I wouldn't be too quick to think there would be intent there though. Taylor doesn't seem like that kind of player to me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,370 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Top post. How long did it take you to come up with that?

Awful game and Ireland are an awful team under MON.

It doesn't matter if he meant to break the leg. He went in recklessly and didn't care what damage he done. I can't shoot a gun into a crowd then claim I didn't mean to kill someone after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

I don't know why I rewound it but seeing Seamie sitting up holding his leg in shock right after is a picture I won't be able to shake. Tackle was a bit high, both committed to it. . .it happens.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,184 ✭✭✭Gavlor

Plenty of Gifs with the tackle, he went to do him no doubt about it.
