Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Such a small team Wales. Belting it clear and wasting time when you are 4 points behind in the group

There were a lot of poor challenges from Wales and the referee really didn't get a grasp on it soon enough, plus over all he had an inconsistent game at best.

    Glazers Out!

    Positives:
    Unbeaten
    Keep Wales at arms length

    Negatives:
    Serbia close the gap
    Coleman
Bale and others banned for trip to Serbia

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Like I said, this is not a team at all equipped to deal with a situation where they are playing against 10 men and expected to score.

Horror injury for Coleman, hopefully it's not as bad as first feared.

The trumpet related posting had me in tears, so it's probably all been worth it.

    Poor Coleman.

Watched the tackle back a few times, Taylor is a coward of a man, horrific challenge.

They were much the more attacking team til the red card. They were bound to sit back after going down to 10.

    Take that

cud of won but could of lost

We need to beat Austria at home

Tonight Cud of been worse, all the best to coleman

Serbia and Austria both have to come to Dublin so a point still isn't that bad.

"Congrats on the point which I suppose you would have taken beforehand".

You've some defeatist attitude Tony O'Donohoe.

Whelan should have gone in the first half in fairness.

We were missing the quality that Wes and Brady give to the team, but still qualifying is in our own hands

McClean and Ward were very good again

Why is Bale banned a negative?

Wales are close to finished now. Their attack is completely rubbish apart from him.

Nah, a realist. He shouldn't have said it though in a packed stadium interview, alright to think it though.

Without Wes, Brady and Arter we struggled to create. Think we would have won at the end with any of them on the pitch. Disappointing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,332 ✭✭✭the untitled user

Thought Wales were somewhat lucky tonight. The ref was being very lenient with them, Bale and a few others should have earned themselves a second yellow with their persistent fouling (they seem to like sticking the leg in for no reason, like that late tackle on McGeady).

What's more frustrating though is that Ireland fail to take the game against them when given the upper hand, all long punts and aimless crosses, really doesn't bode well for the rest of the campaign.

Less chance of taking point off Serbia I'd presume

    Ugly game on every level.

The tackle reminded me of the Cisse leg break

Wishing Coleman all the best and a speedy recovery.

A night of what could have been. Serious indiscipline and the ref never got hold of the game.

Serbia could and should take all 3 against Wales, if we manage to beat Austria we're in a serious position in a 2 horse race

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Gutted for Coleman as well, very honest player that gives everything,

Horrible stuff but didn't look that bad a tackle, they both went for it and clashed legs. Hard to see as it happened so fast

Just watched it back in slow mo, Taylor went over the top of the ball. Absolute dirt.

McGeady brought on 5 minutes before he was just may have been the difference. No problem bringing Christie on though, needed to keep that shape

Wales are the number 1 seeds, stretching the gap to third seems optimal to me.
