    May the Lord open.

A lot better this week. Better than last weeks snooze fest. Looking forward to the season finale.

    Under His Eye.

Ever noticed how no body seems to be into music or listening to music on the radio in this, I presume there is no music festivals in Gillead either. What does the Gillead folk do to unwind, do they have dope, soap operas or booze.

    There's a piano in Emily's new home.

God that was grim , Its getting darker and darker as it goes along .
And it was actually so dark tonight as not light that I could barely see it . And not sure if it was production or my TV but I could see shadows and almost negative image at times

    Or as Offred said

Having teased us in earlier episodes with snatches of the Handmaid Rebellion, they surely have to return to that theme for the finale. We know from the car scene that Little America is covertly broadcasting to Gilead, but does it have sleeper agents in Commander houses, and/or an organised network, similar to the French Resistance?

Didn't feel as slow paced as other episodes. Will be interesting how Emily's new house works out. He is testing her?

Saw clip for next weeks episode, doesn't really show that much to guess what could happen.

Hope they don't leave it on some major cliffhanger.

I know it's grim and hard stories to follow but as someone mentioned I wish they use a bit more colour and not make it so dark.

The music is so good in it. This evenings episode had such an ominous feel to it.

I held my breath with Emily and kept thinking the new boss was going to pounce any minute and rape her

This hot and cold relationship between June and Serena is fascinating to watch . Deep down somewhere in her cold bitchy heart I think Serena admires June .
    Praise be the bitch

As a warning on the evils of religion, its point is simple and well put. The idea of a hybrid, bible belt USA / Saudia Arabia theocracy, must surely have struck many in the USA pretty strongly, but I think in Europe, where church influence has waned to insignificance, while interesting, it has no direct resonance. And the fundamental problem with this second season, is that that was fully done (well, though) in the first series. The second series adds nothing at all to that Lord of the Flies type regression of society to the rigid religious control and subjugation of women. We got that. It really was the series that didnt need to be made.

It needs a big finish for me, it's just grim without any light or hope right now.

I laughed at the baby’s name: Nickole! Serena is really rubbing Fred’s nose in the fact that his driver is the father.

Couldn't agree more, needs to be a big uplifting ending for me.

Its just misery porn at this stage and there's only so much suffering I can watch.

Some of us were asking where Gilead was located . I found this on another forum. Not sure how accurate it is

    Makes zero sense

Not sure I was simply interested in locating Gilead and the Colonies

What aggression ? Merely stating facts.

No, it does make sense, Gilead and the Colonies are essentially the original 13 US states, along with Florida and parts of the Midwest. The Baptist Republic is the Bible Belt of the Deep South, while the Socialist area is what is known in modern USA as the Rust Belt - those industrial states that swung to Trump in 2016.

El Norte encompasses the states Mexico lost in the 19th century (and has presumably reclaimed), while Deseret was the original Mormon name for Utah. Hesperia covers the Rocky Mountain States, but strangely the map legend for the Pacific States appears to be absent.

Thank you very much for that . Is that in the book ? I really must read it
