Advice for monitor used as TV

So, I want to replace my TV with a monitor, but I don't know much about that stuff…

There’s not much TV usage in my house, it’s only used to play the Wii U and stream online content (Netflix, YouTube, Spotify) from the tablet or phone via wifi and a Chromecast dongle.
So I’ll need 2 HDMI ports (1 for console, 1 for Chromecast), and one audio port to add a sound bar or speakers.

Is there anything else I need to buy make it work?

I assume there wouldn’t be a remote but buttons on the side or back of the monitor, which is fine.

I found these two on Amazon that seem to be good, what do you think? 27 inches is plenty big for me, but obv I wouldn’t mind something bigger if the price is ok (I’d like to keep it under 200 GBP)

If you care about sound then ideally you should avoid using an onboard monitor DAC designed for some crappy headphones.

Monitors dont give you TOS out so then the solution is to use a receiver with multiple HDMI inputs and a passthrough for the monitor. This might budget bust.


If you arent anyway audiophile fire ahead.
