so a long story short a few years ago i did my ibt on a fazer 600 school bike[a licence] and loved the bike so naturally i bought one but found the seat height to be higher in that i couldn't flat foot which i wanted to do for comfort and confidence, between the jigs and the reels i sold the fazer my ibt elapsed and ive to do module 5 again.so bottom line what bike would suit me and why was my fazer not as low or could i make it as low as the school bike if i got another one.ive 28"/29" leg.as you can guess im not very clued in.btw im female so a very heavy bike wouldn't be great.

I'm not sure what bikes are suitable for module 5 or if your planning after. But any recommendations you get put the info into http://cycle-ergo.com and you can see how you fit feet down etc

You could have easily lowered the FAZER or any bike with a set of dog bones, they attach to the suspension and lower it a certain height. The FZ6 is a great bike to learn on, but there are plenty of bikes out there for you height and size.

    You could try a CBF500 - SV650 - Versys 650 - Honda Hornet - Suzuki Bandit

Dog bones are the way to go allright, makes a huge difference to a bike and a riders height.

My wife rides a lowered SV650S for the same reason. Suspension is now height adjustable and cost me the princely sum of €89 to do.

She now has a lowered + low seat 800cc BMW F series as well. If you want to try either of them you're more than welcome - drop me a PM.

I know another lady rider who has a nice low Harley as well: they do a specific Low range of bikes which are very easy to get on with. I think there's one for sale near me as well

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Try a Ducati Monster - very low height and easy to manage. Either that or plenty of cruiser style bikes have very low seats.

Sorry lads what are dog bones??
