Evening all .Has anyone any experience of having their anti foul removed by blasting with either soda or any other medium.I am curious as to what finish it leaves any mess in surrounding area and also the cost.I have an old boat with many layers of build up and am considering having it done . I have seen an add on donedeal so would like more info before I make the call. Thank you for reading

Hi gordon, soda blasting leaves a very good finish for painting but it's not cheep I think I paid €300 just to get an outboard engine done. Your boat cant be much worse than mine you could have a go with a heat-gun and scraper then sand it.

Thank you Fergal .The cost might stop the plan before it starts.I'll talk to the guy and get a price and see where it goes

I spoke with this guy about getting it done. He had reasonable rates but didn't go ahead with it for other reasons.
Limerick area ..don't know how far he travels
