Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Haven't got cable tv, so using vpn to watch All4 & BBC player apps.
Doesn't seem to be ability to watch at lower broadband speed, to save on monthly broadband allowance, like netflix and you tube.
Is it a fixed hd speed only?

2MB is generally min speed for these services,
It may vary depending on the quality of stream you are watching though

I think what the OP means is that he has sufficient bandwidth to watch in HD but that would push him over his monthly download allowance so he wants to watch in lower quality to stay within his allowance?

Sorry though - I've no idea of the answer.

Thanks CAbaal, not sure what my speeds are- have 60gb per month, sounds a lot but watching Netflix or YouTube Will use a lot v fast. So I choose to watch them with out hd , at a slower speed to save on the allowance..
But using bbc & All4, seems to be only 1 speed at hd

Thanks metric tensor, you're spot on about the allowance, I don't mind not watching on hd if Will save my allowance, 60 gb per month sounds like lots but if watching a box set of a show, will go pretty fast.
Can't seem to find any difference of setting of speed with bbc or All4 apps, so presuming I'm watching at perhaps hd or at least pretty high speed....
Maybe they just don't offer that service which is a pity..

What device are you watching from? I use a program on Windows called Netlimiter that can individually limit the bandwidth for specific programs so you can fool them into thinking you have a poorer connection and scaling down accordingly. Not sure it would be of any use for you. I use it to stop Skype going into HD mode.
