I have an apple tree in my back garden. It's got to a stage now were it's a bit tall and is over hanging my neighbours garden. It's about 30ft at its highest and the branches span about 12ft. I don't want to do any damage. Any tips on how I should tackle this?

Don't be too heavy handed, do it bit by bit over a few years, and always during winter.
