    Hi there,

We have paid for our new connection for a single dwelling, pole is up and wires brought to the house.

However, the farmer we bought our land off is denying the ESB lads entry to his land to connect our pole to the one in his field until we put up a "stock proof fence" around our site. We do not have to do this, as per our contract we only had to put up a boundary fence.

Can he actually stop the connection? We have paid for our connection and need it as soon as is possible.

I would appreciate any advice or help.

    Hi FiOT,

Thank you for getting in touch.

ESB Networks are the people to put this query to.

ESB Networks are not on Boards.ie but they are on Twitter and their telephone number for such a query is 1850 372 757.

    We hope that information helps.

    Kind regards,
    Una

A farmer must fence his cattle in; not the other way around. That law changed years ago.

He's gonna be some neighbour for the next few decades. Good luck.
