Hi folks, just looking for confirmation that even though the 2 elements on the immersion are showing the correct resistance (approx 16 & 24ohms respectively) that this does not mean the element is necessarily good ? ELCB tripping; stat good.

It's not necessarily good because the element resistance is in the right ball park. The usual failure mode is leakage to earth which will not necessarily effect the resistance of the elements. It will show up as a earth fault though if you were to disconnect the L and N cables from the immersion terminals and measure the resistance from one terminal to earth using a Megger or insulation tester.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions Pete :)
