Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think cros13 is yer man for the i3 details. If you pm him the VIN of the car, he can tell you the spec of the car.

Do you really need the rex? You'll pay no VRT if you go for the non-rex version.

I dont know much about the i3 but the description has some unusual items
    Interior world. Loft,

    What are those?! :D

And why do they list "Acoustic seatbelt warning"!
As if thats a selling point. They might as well list "4 wheels"! :pac:

Loft is some kind of an interior theme.

Build your own on the BMW website and there are four options at that point.

    Yup mine is "Suite"

Loft is the partial-leather mid trim.

That car looks OK provided you get it confirmed that it has DC Rapid.
An i3... even a REx without DC rapid is basically unsaleable.

    Thanks for that

Is there a way to tell when looking at car is it like leaf has it a second socket for Rapid Charger

    Thanks

Looks like a reasonable car you should also look at BMWs website for used cars.
    http://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/get-BMW-bmw-i-cars.aspx
It is the older model but with Rex will probably give you 160 ml / 250 km range.
I would definitely go for the Rex particularly in the older model as it gives you more flexibility on those longer journeys.
Best of luck with your search.

On same subject new i3 can be purchased in UK for 26000 sterling (94ah)
with cash discount. What would be my cost to import.exchange rate etc. Also any dealers in Ireland offering similar discounts

It's too much hassle to buy new in the uk. It'll have to be 6 months old and have more than 6,000 kms on it to avoid messing around with VAT.

Maybe use the fact that the new one is so cheap to haggle a better deal on a secondhand one?

Am I the only one getting problems with auto trader links? I keep getting an error, data service unavailable at this time. Very frustrating.

    Yes.

You need to have more than 6000km on it to avoid it being classed as new.

So, if you buy it just ensure you can get it up over 6000km before the VRT inspection. You will have upto 30days to do that.

It already meets the age threshold.

Once it's at 3728.227 miles (6000klm) when presenting at the inspection, it will be fine (technically). One of the posters on here brought one in that was way below the mark and drove it plenty before the inspection.
