External hard drive for ipad air

Hi, 
I was looking at getting some sort of external flash drive for my ipad air but I am completely CLUELESS when it comes to these things. 
I was looking at some online. I want to download some films from itunes in my ipad to the drive and then watch them when we are away. That way I won't need any internet to download at the time. That's my plan anyway. 
Can anyone recommend some good external drives for this purpose? Size......32/64GB??

Have a look for Leef Mobile memory or Sandisk iXpander. Both of these products come in various sizes and plug into the lightning port of your iPad or iPhone. Download the relevant app and away you go.

Another, better and cheaper alternative is to get something like this that you can use your own microSD or external drives. It creates its own wi-fi network that you can stream from the device to your iPad or whatever:

Hi,

I have 0 patience so I got the Sandisk ixpand today. Installed the app..fine.

Now I think my problem is films from iTunes need DRM removal before I can save them to the ixpand. I dont see how I can transfer a film from my itunes on ipad to the usb.

I would gladly pay someone to do all this for me! I got some Tuneskit converter software on my ancient laptop but I again dont see how I can transfer the film from itunes to Tuneskit to convert.
