USA to Ireland, visa requirements?

    I have a friend traveling from Florida to Ireland at the beginning of the summer for about 10 days.

    He has just booked his flights, but i never thought to check does he require a visa for entry in to Ireland?

    I know we have the ESTA to get in to the states, what is the requirements for US citizens coming to Ireland?

    If he is a US citizen, he needs a valid passport and he can't stay for more than three months.

    That's it.
