    2 - 2

Looks like it's going to be a tight session. Selby just cleared up in that frame with a 99 point break.

Thanks, I'm over here myself, and have mainly been watching highlights on youtube. Will have to get myself signed up for the weekend though

I think I read somewhere that it's being streamed live in America on Facebook.

Fascinating frame here, could be a turning point if Selby steals it.

Have to admire Selby in these situations, by far the best around.

Another very long tactical frame. Ding seems to have read the manual on how to beat Slowby by snookering him as much as possible. This frame is a huge one for Ding. 3:3

A very cautious frame from both players. Safety shots and snookers abound. Selby was in his element alright. Ding has him sussed.

    Selby 3 - 3 Ding

That frame has instilled a lot of confidence in Ding for me. It should do his mentality good too. That's the type of frame normally grinds out and wins. Ding dig a great job on the colours.

I feel a flush of embarrassment for you every time you refer to 'Slowby'.

4:3 Ding now. He really is playing excellent snooker this afternoon

That shot should mean 5-3 Ding. Got into those reds beautifully and the clearance is on.

5:3 Ding and a super century to finish off the session

I'd say he's got good advice from Terry Griffith's on tactics

Is he working with Terry? If so, that's a great move. I remember how working with Reardon really helped Ronnie.

I was just thinking would it not be cool if whoever wins this week that they have a patch sewn on that they wear on their waistcoat or shirt for the year with World Champion on it? something like they do in soccer if you win the world cup or the premiership

They should wear a special hat imho. A big pointy one. With bells hanging off it.

Hope Selby wins so he can finally live up to his nickname then.

I think Higgins is going to win this match comfortably.

Great stuff from Ding this afternoon.

Standard is cat so far this evening, winner of this could get a drubbing in the final if they play like this.

    Disaster from Barry.

Higgins misses a sitter frame ball in the middle and Hawkins says no thanks and donates it back to him.

He needs to minimum split the last two or it could be almost over already.
