They have played four times first to 10 or higher and its 3-1 to Higgins.

They have played twice at a longer distance, 13-12 and 18-13 to Higgins.

Not quite the domination you are insinuating.

Sport is all opinions, we debate MMA enough to know that :)

A 5-1 record from best of 19 to best of 35 is pretty dominant in my view.

I just think John is so relieved it's not Ding he's playing and fully expects to turn Selby over.

Ronnie over on Eurosport reckons Higgins has this in the bag once he plays his game

    Of course. :)

    No no, it's 3-1 total.

    18-13, 13-12, 10-5 and 4-10.

Also Selby has won the last two biggest meeting between them in the 2016 UK and the 2014 Masters.

Be interesting to know which opponent Higgins would have preferred.

Boom. 6-3, Selby takes the first

I'm just hoping for a close game and see them both under the cosh tomorrow night in a deciding frame.

Distraction Snooker would be better. If opposing player could do everything in his power to distract his opponent while he is at table it would add to the game.

I'd glad it's not one sided like a lot suggested. Higgins is on top form.

Selby negative? Not on your Nelly.

Selby won't be negative in this match. There is no point as Higgins would be quite happy to get involved in that type of game as he would beat him. Selby will have to be adventurous and outpot Higgins to win this.

Selby can be slow but is not a negative player.

    9. Some way of sneaking in a reference to the "great Bill Werbeniuk" (who incidentally was never ranked higher than 8th in the world ever).

    Tick

The great Bill Werbeniuk got his mention.

Ah no, missed it. Had to switch to Eurosport with Joe Johnson and Dave Hendon. Hendon knows his stuff and Joe isn't bad either.

Are these pockets bigger than they used to be?

There seems to be a big gap either side of the ball

Selby is drunk. I played today and potted more difficult balls than the ones he's missed so far this evening and I'm shaite

Good to hear Hendry and Davis give Selby stick for his constant glances to his box.

It's insecurity according to Hendry. It has to be.

Well it's pertinent this year as Selby keeps looking up there.

They're dead right. Aside from it being very annoying for the viewer, it is a character weakness and he needs to stop it. He should ban his wife and friends from his games for a while.

    That's shocking stuff. Wtf!?
