I've been hoping for a MASH reboot for a while now.

I always felt a bit disenfranchised at the lack of good Korean War movies, so hopefully if the war happens, it will provide plenty of material for good war movies in the future.

Well, I believe that in the original series, there was one episode for each day of the war!
So the rebooted version would probably only run for about 14 episodes max!

US military chiefs outlining the "only way".

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-41878123
A Pentagon assessment has declared the only way to completely destroy all parts of North Korea's nuclear weapons programme is through a ground invasion.
Rear Admiral Michael Dumont expressed the opinion on behalf of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in a letter to Congressman Ted Lieu.
Mr Dumont said calculating "even the roughest" potential casualty figures would be extremely difficult.
He also gave some detail on what the first hours of a war would involve.

Might be a dangerous plan ,

But nobody knows if the NK army will actually fight

or would the Chinese invade from the north to prevent the US from taking territory.

I believe they would do as russia did with Crimea appear over night and annex a large part of NK to keep as a buffer zone and allow themselves to get closer to south Korea

Seems inevitable now we will see a war. The sanctions are squeezing NK to the absolute brink and they will lash out sooner rather than later.

    Trump is going too far

North Korea has shown itself to be a rational player. If the shoe was on the other foot, the United States would not just sit there and take it. United States for the last two months, has also stepped up mock bombing raids against North Korea. Trump has not shut up. either, and seems to be all in and ready for a war?

Either way a war is inevitable if you listen to people in the know. The strategic thinking is the North does not yet have the capability to strike the United States. If they demonstrate this ability or looks like they are close, i strike or war will take place. The White house and government Administration are not sending out signals they will live with North Korea nuclear capability getting better for much longer.

John F. Kennedy did a great job when dealing with the Russians during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Can't find the emoji where the wee icon is laughing so much, that it's crying at the same time, but this is very funny indeed. :pac:

Says something when the North Korean regime can say Trump is an "unstable lunatic" and the rest of the world goes "yeah, see we kinda agree"...

    There will be no war
Trump is a spoofer,a symptom of half america’s Population being angry and frankly daft
    It’s unlikely he’ll get a 2nd term
    Fool me once etc

Meanwhile nearly all of North Korea’s people are oppressed or starving and none of them have a vote to do what the Americans will do to their Pres and turf him out
This mantra going about calling Trump a bigger loon than Mr Kim is just nonsense
He’s just an egomaniac and a buffoon

North Korea should not have Nukes
They should be annexed by China and let that be the end of it
A squad of Chinese elite troops would have Kim and co in Beijing in no length

That all reads like the Ten Commandments.

Trump is clear favourite (about 3/1) to win 2020, but might back the Facebook boy closer to the time, if suitable. One Seer thinks Kim will be 'escorted away' by the Chinese Dec/Jan. Rocketman has created enough upheaval already.

Would be hilarious if Zuckerberg ran.

Would be hilarious if Zuckerberg ran.

He's currently got much better odds than Hilary to take POTUS2020.
Would bring new meaning to 'ad truth filtration' on the Facepage.

Historically conflicts assist vote counts for leaders (with the odd exception), and if it leads to one less N-power, probably a few extra votes for Trump in '20.

Straying away from the thread debate about the US considering a pre-emtive strike on N/K, Don would, probably without a blink, say that Mark is not eligible as facebook is amongst the media outlets summoned to congress over its use by Russia to subvert the US electoral system. He'd turn it on its head and say "I told you its a witch-hunt" and garner more supporters.

Depends really who it suits, i.e. FB was proclaimed by the Democrats when it worked in their favour 2012, more recently it aided Trump due primarily to their smaller spend on social marketing through specialist agencies such as Cambridge Analytica with their Excellent universes profiling. All whilst HC was burning dollars litho-printing (old media) poster campaigns.

Zuckerberg is as low as 20/1 in some places, which puts him in the top 7 or so candidates for 2020.

Reckon with NK, Trump probably handed China an ultimatum e.g. Remove Kim or face the consequences. Either way (that Kim goes), it's hard to see DT loosing votes with record breaking stock-markets and low unemployment.

I'll let you into a secret, people don't care about the Russia thing, or the grab her by the pussy thing, or the NK thing, or the ISIS thing etc.. They care about the economy and having a job.

If the economy continues to grow Trump will flourish and get relected, if it tanks he'll be gone.

As Bill Clinton himself once said, "it's the economy stupid".

Despite all the slagging you've been getting here as a Trumpist I'll applud you on this, as you're the first apparent Trumpist who has said that, if the economy goes and job losses follow, Don will go as well. Most followers of Don, from their own admission and responses to media, seem to be dyed-in-the-wool followers ready to go over the cliff with him.

They aren't at all. They care about the economy and jobs. The sad thing is I honestly believe the majority of liberals and lefties would like to see the economy tank if it means Trump wouldn't be reelected.

Anyway sorry way off topic here sorry.

the current state of the economy had nothing to do with Trump , its takes several years for economic policy to filter through

The same economy that he said was built on a stock market bubble and fake unemployment numbers, but that he's now taking credit for.

Seriously?? You'd wish pain, suffering, and death on hundreds of thousands of people just so you can have some decent war movies? Hope to f*** you're taking the piss
