I can't tell if that Russian reality website is supposed to be commentating on Russian propaganda or brazenly stating it's Russian propaganda?

I think it's trying to promote Russian propaganda but it's so poorly written it's kind of hard to tell.

RT reported on this too. Yes, it's Russian version of events. Same could be said for CNN and Fox news ( American version of events) )

North Korea missile test was 'new type of ballistic rocket'

North Korea has claimed that the missile it tested on Sunday was a new type of rocket capable of carrying a large nuclear warhead.
The missile, launched at a steep angle, reached an altitude of 2,000km (1,242 miles) and travelled about 700km, landing in the sea west of Japan.
North Korea said on Monday it was a test of the abilities of a "newly developed ballistic rocket".

Missile can now strike Japan and bases in the Pacific Ocean. It's like watching the Cuban Missile Crisis in slow motion.

well you could certainly try to use sources that actually read what they are reporting on. Firstly it was May 4 not April 4th. Not sure how a responsible journalist gets something like that wrong. and secondly it has nothing to do with controlling foreign ports. It says

Nothing there about controlling foreign ports.

    Wrong can you not read?

Cracks down on North Korean shipping and use of international ports!!!!
    https://foreignaffairs.house.gov/press-release/house-passes-chairman-royces-north-korea-sanctions-bill/

"transferring cargo in any port under U.S. jurisdiction if such vessel is owned by North Korea"

    This is the murky part
or owned or operated on behalf of any country not complying with Security Council resolution"

How can any port under US jurisdiction be a foreign port? They are denying access to their own ports. they are not controlling foreign ports.

North Korean has tested a new anti air system and has launched a new missile towards Japan.

The missile was fired at 5:39 a.m. local time (4:39 p.m. Sunday ET) from an area near Wonsan, Kangwon province, toward the eastern part of the Korean Peninsula, the statement said. The missile was "assumed" to be one of the SCUD series, the statement said.

"It flew about 450 kilometers," the statement said. "South Korea and the United States are currently closely analyzing for additional information. Our military is closely monitoring North Korean military and maintaining readiness posture."
The South Korean statement did not say where the missile landed.
US officials are aware of the launch and "the President has been briefed," a spokesman for the National Security Council said.

Trump will react soon, weeks maybe months at most i bet. North Korea is firing missiles every week and they not failing.

Japan's official response statement is worrying, that action needed to be taken against N/K. Comment was made from other nations about the danger the missile put air and maritime shipping in.

there was reports don't know how reliable that the Nimitz battle group is heading their way, that would make 3 carrier groups broadly in the same area.

It leaked this week, there is 2 US nuclear subs near Korea right now.

Trump tells Duterte of two U.S. nuclear subs in Korean waters: NYT

U.S. President Donald Trump told his Philippine counterpart that Washington has sent two nuclear submarines to waters off the Korean peninsula, the New York Times said, comments likely to raise questions about his handling of sensitive information.

You move assets into place first before you can attack. I don't think it's going to be long before we see a war. NK will have to back off for Trump to stop and China would have to do something unseen to stop Kim. NK is continuing the journey to develop missiles that can strike outside NK

Can't see a war breaking out. It'd be an incredibly messy one with huge casualties.

    It's all posturing.

that's a brilliant tweet though, he is putting it up to the Chinese to do something to control NK, ie NK firing missiles is Chinese failure.

North Korean has tested a new anti air system and has launched a new missile towards Japan.
If the missile was fired east from Wonsan then it was traveling away from Japan.

You could say they fired it towards China but it was only in the general direction. As I read it they fired the Missile in land so it would land somewhere inside N.Korea, no where near Japan, S.Korea or China.

hope it doesn't go hot but its a possibility. It doesn't cost you anything to move some ships around, just sending a message. The US cant do a first strike at this stage as NK tech isn't there yet.

So north Korea will be freed and become a democracy and in 40 years there emerges a new north Korean terrorist group terrorising Japan China Korea and the US. They will have an ideology of anti imperialism and extreme nationalism.

It's being almost a week now since the last reported land missile launch by N/K, apparently a shore to sea anti-ship missile.

America and its defence secretary sold them the nukes to begin with.  They are working together to keep the money flowing.

Looks like Dennis Rodman is flying out to see his best buddy again.

He's also a mate of Donald, will he become the 'peacemaker' and a noble peace prize to follow?

Suspect all that will happen is that he'll set off various metal detectors with all that metal around his face and watch the odd basketball game.

From memory, he was worse than useless on any appearance of Celebrity Apprentice USA. The communication, intelligence and diplomacy of a manikin.

Anyways lets see what he gets up to. Ah wait... This just in:

Mr Rodman said his latest trip was being 'sponsored by a company that provides digital currency for the marijuana industry'. He wore fully branded clothes to the airport. A previous trip to the country was sponsored by a betting company.

2/5, He'll upset Kimmy at some stage, maybe blow some smoke in his face, during his holiday.

This is looking pretty likely now.

China have basically stepped back and gave the US their best wishes.

Now lets watch the US make an absolute balls of this.

We have to ask i guess what does this mean? Has Trump given up on diplomatic avenues to solve the crisis?

    I say military intervention.

Mattis is itching for a war. Very disturbed individual.
