The US UN has just announced new sanctions against N.Korea.
It seems half a million dead North Korean children are to be added to the half a million ("we think it was worth it") dead Iraqi children.
Great! Reduce the weakest in society to poverty, starvation and famine.
    Long live freedom and democracy!

I must remember this line the next time someone comes up to me and proclaims how we must BDS Israel.

If I might attempt to speak in the language of the hard-left, NK need not worry, only trade from fascist/capitalist/imperialist/nazi countries will be affected and clearly NK doesn't need to trade with fascist/capitalist/imperialist/nazi people.

    Even China agreed!
Very odd that. The US THAAD missiles in South Korea are aimed at China as much as North Korea.
I can only imagine that behind the scenes there is some sort of dialogue between China and the US.
China also called for a halt to THAAD and for all relevant equipment to be dismantled.
"The deployment of the THAAD system will not bring a solution to the issue of (North Korea's) nuclear testing and missile launches," China's UN Ambassador Liu Jieyi told the council. North Korea should also “cease taking actions that might further escalate tensions," he added.

Looks like south Korea are getting a full battery of 6 THAADs to Defend against missles from the North ,
Funny china might impose sanctions on them for it

Theres a difference between China agreeing with the sanctions and actually implementing them.

Also sanctions are just for whoever the US wants to punish.

Spot on, Trump will be ranting against China again in a month or two.

Basically China will wear Trump down and drive him crazy eventually :D

NK not taking the UN sanctions lying down, but what do they mean by "pay a price"?
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-40846959
North Korea has vowed to retaliate and make "the US pay a price" for drafting fresh UN sanctions over its banned nuclear weapons programme.
The sanctions, which were unanimously passed by the UN on Saturday, were a "violent violation of our sovereignty," the official KCNA news agency said.
Separately, South Korea says the North has rejected an offer to restart talks, dismissing it as insincere.
The sanctions will aim to reduce North Korea's export revenues by a third.
The unanimous UN Security Council decision followed repeated missile tests by the North which have escalated tensions on the peninsula.

They always talk like that but nothing happens.

It's like the Chinese when they say they are imposing sanctions on them...but in reality nothing happens either :D

Everyone know's the war will only start when America forces attack first. A war can start by a mistake or by an accident when tensions are this high.

Are you sure a war wont start if say a NK missle strikes japan or the south ,
Wouldn't be the first time either especially against the south

North Korea will not start this war, they can't win. They know his. If we see a war it be the Americans who started it or did something that lead up to it.

NK does have a history of lobbing the odd missile into SK territory, particularity around the islands near the DMZ.

In today's heightened tensions, the US could use such an attack as the "red line" and retaliate.

The difference is South Korean transgressions are not reported by the media! North does something the world media talks about it.

I don't see a war started by the North.

Economic sanctions against a country is grounds for a country to start a war! North has done nothing yet. What would America do if countries ganged up on them and imposed crippling sanctions against it's people?

Where is the sanctions against America for supporting jihadists?

To answer your question. I will blame the North for firing the missile, but i am not naive as to why this war started.

NK is making missile-ready nuclear warheads....

    Breaking news.

North Korea has successfully miniaturized a nuclear weapon designed to fit inside its missiles, NBC News confirmed Tuesday, citing a U.S. intelligence official.

The Washington Post first reported the development Tuesday, citing a confidential intelligence assessment.

The development marks a major step in the isolated nation's push to become a nuclear power. Miniaturizing a weapon does not necessarily mean that North Korea has an accurate nuclear-equipped intercontinental ballistic missile, yet.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/08/north-korea-reportedly-makes-a-nuclear-weapon-that-can-fit-in-its-missiles.html

Why this is breaking news right now not sure? It was obvious to me this was achieved awhile ago.

Intelligence analysts have also assessed that North Korea possesses up to 60 nuclear warheads (estimates of course) according the Washington post.

Meanwhile china held live fire military excerises including naval and airforces in the korean peninsula today ,
Some are suggesting it was a show of force in Defence of NK

Could also be a warning to KIm.

    Welcome to the danger zone

Kimmy's track record (the 4th July gift), could suggest he'll plan a test of some sort of test during the Eclipse on 21/08 {11} (which symbolically runs directly through the entire US). {33} days later, will occur the Centenary of the dancing sun from Fatima.

You'd have to feel sorry for all those folks in NK that have to endure that lunatic of a newsreader every day, if your local news host banged the desk after every single headline they'd be off the air.
