    But you guys are experts?

Relative to some interwebz kid with an unhealthy priapism for tyrannical dictatorships?

    Yes, yes we are!

My cat ****s more expertise than than the bizarro agenda you are trying to offer us.

If it's so bad why are these defectors looking to return? Every story is different. Some people just leave for better economic reasons for a better life, not because the North authorities beat them up or tried to imprison them.

Defectors who want to return home.

so a "small number" out of 25,000. and most of those want to go back because they left their family behind. hardly a glowing endorsement of the kim regime is it?

we could ask the US guy who was released recently about the conditions. Oh wait, we cant because he died in suspicious circumstances that the north koreans cant explain. and all that for stealing a poster.

The guy was a moron for stealing in the first place. You in North Korea now with this crap don't stand. What was he thinking removing a banner from a wall?

I have already said the North is not a good power and is ruled the wrong way, but i see how they ended up like this.. If America stopped intervening the North would not be hostile or isolating itself.

Once again the orange one has to roll back on an ill-advised statement.

they didnt end up like. they started like this.

Korea was a united country for centuries prior to WW2, it was the Japanese that divided the country. After the war, the Chinese and Soviets took the North, the Americans the South. A civil war happened. It's well documented the South was preparing an invasion of the North. And it 's well documented the North was also. We know the South was preparing an invasion because they had stationed most of it's artillery pieces and men at the border preparing to cross. There is actually a dispute which side started attacking first.

we have already covered that in the last 30 minutes. the number who want to return are tiny and mostly because they left family behind.

they feel they would be better treated in the north, even though it is a poorer country.

How do you know want happened? The guy was arrested in jan 2016, it's not like he died immediately. Could he have had a underlying health issue before this? The American doctors who medically tested him after he got released over found no evidence of physical abuse or torture? So how did he die?

or they miss their families. family ties are very strong in asia. given a choice between living in a free country on their own or living in a dictatorship with their family a small number choose the latter. the fact it is only a very small number tell you a lot about life in the north.

He was returned home in a coma that north korea claimed was from botulism. american doctors found no evidence of this. They also forgot to mention that he was in a coma until he was released.

Apologists for American imperialism is crazy. You guys would fit right in with the British Empire imperialistic mindset. We just lucky we had people willing to fight for Irish freedom.

They found no evidence of physical abuse or torture, fact. If the North Koreans attacked, punched and kicked him those physical signs would show up in a scan of the human body and brain.

You know the timeline for the attack? Could it be he just had a underlining medical condition? If they cracked he's skull there be signs years after the attack.

nobody has any idea what happened to him after he was arrested. he disappeared into a black hole until he reappeared in a vegetative state. almost like the norks have something to hide.
