Basically, I felt like I made the wrong choice in my leaving cert subjects which are English, Biology, Maths, Spanish, Art, Accounting and Business.

I wanted to do physics instead of art since the start since Im a maths person. My art class has falln behind drasically on the theory and practical so I dont feel confident in taking the leaving cert exam.

Should I move to a private school and repeat or should I push through.

There must have been some reason you took art in the first place. I wouldn't see the point in repeating just because one subject is letting you down a bit, your points will only be calculated on your best 6 anyway.

If you really hate your subjects than maybe it might be best to repeat 5th year. At least then you can choose new subjects you might prefer. Dunno if there's a need to move to a private school though. I'm sure most schools wouldn't mind you repeating 5th year, including your own.

You should push through and do the leaving cert next year. If you don't get the points you can always repeat. By repeating you won't have lost any time over the option of doing 5th year again. Plus you will have the experience of the leaving cert and orals which will boost your confidence in a repeat year. You can also pick up new subjects in a specialist leaving cert repeat college.

You may not even have to repeat the leaving because you may get all the points you need next year

Also, I am doing ordinary maths at the moment, but since I have over 70% of the course done, would I be able to do honours if I repeat.

If you were focused enough, picked ng up physics now should not be an issue if you are strong in that area. Same for jumping to higher level maths. You have loads of time.over the summer.

Going ahead makes more sense than repeating 5th as you can have two cracks at it in the same time period if it is not great first time around.
