Hi there, I'm moving to Ireland from the uk at the beginning of May and looking for any information and advice regarding setting up a bank account, registering for a pps number etc. Is there anything I can do in preparation for the move? Thanks in advance

First thing is getting your name on a bill of some sort. Once you have that you can get your NI no and from that you can get a bank account. You'll need an appointment to set up a bank account and a whole load of references before getting a house.
As for getting your name on a bill, as a friend or relative over there to just add your name as an extra namee on one of their utility bills. You can take it off again once you're all set up. Good luck
