I don't think it's worth anywhere near that. And there's no chance it's bigger than an E-class estate - traditionally the biggest estate there is. What makes you think that? The long NCT and a bit of tax are nice though...

Read somewhere years back that on release they had more boot space then the e class, hense I said allegedly.

Wouldn't pay the asking but I couldn't see it being let go for a grand tbh. Only 105k miles on it so theres many years motoring left in it id say. Would definitely have it over a Vectra or Passet any day.

It does look very clean, but IMO a grand would be generous for that Mondeo.

Yeah, I was thinking drop the "1". Those Mondeos are worth SFA and the second you give someone €1800 for that one it'll be worth €500 instantly.

My own car if anyone is interested.

    The roof bars are included,
But I don't have the key for them.

    Diesel, NCT 9/18 €1200

Risky with the light on the dash. I say bring an obd scanner and see what is causing it. If its minor, offer a grand

Kinda strange that the TT is Greenlight verified (seller entered the reg and VRC serial number) but the NCT isn't showing on the autocompleted details and the number plates aren't visible in the pics. Seller also has a van and a camper up for sale in the last few days.

Sure my WRX was down as a diesel on the book. When I brought it to the NCT the guys were questioning it and told me to get it changed but I never bothered. They didn't even have diesel models.

I drove around a GTI golf for 2 years and it was only when I changed it I found out my Insurance had it down as a TDI, and I never copped it to correct them. :o

If I could insure it for sane money, I would get it as a third car purely for a bit of fun. Unfortunately having it as a second is not feasible... :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,456 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

This is the one I posted in the fixerupper thread when it didn't have test, same seller.
    It's a Cooper S too!

Can you not? I'd ring a good few brokers, see what they can do. Suggest you will use it as a third car and are prepared for a very low mileage policy, say 2k km per year and you will accept a very high excess (say a few grand) in case of a claim. Let them work their magic. You might be pleasantly surprised!

I'd love that mini I don't think my back would thank me though.

Going to see about raiding the piggy bank for that, my 9-3 has it's test coming up and I reckon it might make more sense to invest in a replacement instead.

I have an 05 Cooper S. It is great fun to drive - you'd love it I'm sure.
That one is €1500-2000 cheaper than the 'going rate', for some reason. I'd say it has a few issues / colourful history.
It has a pre-facelift steering wheel which is odd. Possible front end impact/airbag/steering wheel change...
If you know what you're looking and it's a cheap fix at it might be a good punt.

A great big dent on the driver's door too

I'm going to have another go at selling this if anyone is interested.

    2004 A6 2.0 TDI, 6 speed manual
NCT 11/17, tax 3/17, four brand new tyres fitted this week
    280k kms or 170-odd k miles

I don't have any more photos to hand so I don't have an ad to post yet. Hoping to get €1800ish? There are slightly newer cars going for the same money but with the tax and tyres I'm aiming high

Sounds like a reasonable price for it. Looks in very good condition, I've always liked that model, it has aged well. Good colour too. Would you consider removing the window tint? That looks cheap and nasty to me. Take pics and put up an ad already!
